About JM Griffin
Bio

JM Griffin grew up in the Maine countryside. Inspired by the Nancy Drew mysteries, JM wrote her first story at age twelve.

Throughout her life, JM has been an artist. As a full time mother, she attended college at the age of 40. Eventually the writing bug returned and after several attempts, she arrived at the Lavinia, a.k.a. Vinnie, Esposito series of novels. With 5 novels written and two new ones in the works. JM's second in the series was published in paperback in February of 2009. The first Esposito story has been re-released in paperback and as an e-book through Lachesis Publishing. Plans for re-releasing the second book in the series, Dirty Trouble, in paperback and e-book forms will be out soon from Lachesis Publishing.
The third novel in the series has been submitted and JM awaits news on the publishing date. Fall of this year has been discussed, so stay tuned for more information concerning the challenges Vinnie Esposito faces.

In addition to the Esposito series, JM has written a mystery featuring faeries, pixies, tea and cupcakes. Lyrical Press, Inc. plans to present the book in July of this year.

In addition to romantic suspense, JM has combined her passion for decorative painting, and has been published in art, craft, and doll magazines. Her greeting card designs are also licensed. JM's favorite activities include reading, teaching art, writing, cooking and gardening.

In an effort to increase her knowledge of law enforcement and all that entails, JM volunteered to work with the Providence Police Department in Providence, Rhode Island for a year. During that time, she came to know the officers, the inner workings of the police department and was encouraged to ride-along to calls in the district in which she worked. The Rhode Island State Police also assist JM when she needs information and inspiration.

Living in rural Rhode Island surrounded by forests, the Scituate Reservoir and natures creatures, JM considers it the perfect life.
JM and her husband John reside with a wild and crazy cat who rules the roost. JM's daughter is involved in the criminal justice field, and her grandson, Michael, is currently enrolled in criminal justice studies.
